How to care for chicks

At hay park we were very lucky enough to get 9 chicks we were very excited. A chick is a yellow young bird. This explanation is about how to care for chicks.

  

  The Incubator

The incubator is for chicks to keep them warm to hatch. If I was a chick inside an incubator I would think that It was my home. Inside the incubator there a bowl of water to keep the eggs moist so they can hatch easily. When the chicks hatched they were playing. I think when they are having fun. The temperature has to be 37.7 celsius

The Brooder

When they have finally hatched they move into the brooder, the brooder has water and chick food for them. The water bottle is called a water bell, when they get hungry they eat chick food because they need to be healthy. They have to be dry to move in the incubator.

  Conclusion

At thursday we got to get them out of the border they were happy, they were running around the ground. We played with them thene they went.

Living eggs

Day one. The first day

The chicks came in, the eggs were in a incubator, we were excited. After one hour later a crack happened everyone was looking at the crack, we could see the beak poking out of the egg it was wet.

Skateboarding

On Thursday we did skateboarding. we first put our gear on and lined up at the blue wall. then after we got to pick what color we want but the girls went first then the boys, and I got the green skateboard, it was fast as like a cheetah. when our coach was talking he was talking about our safety so we started of with  two feet on the skateboard,  then after that we went around in a circle and it was cool because I went as fast as I could. when I was going fast heaps of people started copying me so I went fast as so know one could catch up to me. when we were riding on our cool skateboard we had to stop and listen to the coach. people were staying still as a if they were hiding from something.  I loved it when me and my friend Raymond were going fast, we did these cool moves that people would look at. then after that when it was 9:45 we had to pack up so the other class can come. so we took of our helmet and everyone was sweaty and then we had to take of our gear of and put it back. then after that we said thank you for coaching us.

When it was Samoan language week we learned some interesting facts about what weapons they used at war it had patterns on it and it weighed medium ish.

Orchestra

On Wednesday we went to the orchestra. When we arrived we went inside the orchestra hall I was really excited. Then the pink panther song came up. Did you know there is even a cartoon about pink panther. It was really funny. If you don't know what a orchestra is, it is group of people that play music.  

Skateboarding

This is about skateboard, we learned how to fix a skateboard it was very exciting. We were the only group to finish first and we had the least amount of people. Then we showed the person of our skateboard. We tried riding it, it was perfect. Then we reassemble the skateboard and did some cool tricks.

Henderson's class assembly

Our class assembly

The two presenters Shreya and Ina said “Welcome to Henderson class assembly.” Next we said the greetings and I was involved in it as well, but out of nowhere the song turned on for the flash mob. I felt my heart  beating lighting speed. People were confused and they were saying “what, what!” That moment. The first two dancers came up their names were Paris and Aryan. Then people from the other line came up, after five seconds later, the people who were outside they joined in doing the flash mob at the stage. At last the people who were in the testing room, the people who were in the room, joined. No one ever knew how they got there. After twenty seconds the whole class was up on the stage doing the flash mob including me.

After the flash mob we sung the national anthem of New Zealand. Shreya said information about te rakau. Ina said “what is It used for.” Shreya said “The warriors used to practised their skill and also known as the stick game” it was very fun watching them. Later the presenters said “Time for the class awards” then our principal came up and gave the rippa rugby certificates and the school award certificate. Then it was the end of our assembly and we sung the world's greatest song people were saying it was a blast! It was the best assembly Ever!!!
